Based in Toki city in Gifu prefecture, our family has been involved in the production of Japanese pottery since the Ansei Era (1854-1860). Our Jyosuitougaen kiln was built in 1961 in Imakumano, Kyoto. In 2020 we received commendation by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and were awarded the “Modern Master Craftsman” award in recognition of our skills that have been passed down for generations, beginning with the forefathers of Kyoyaki (such as Ninsei and Kenzan).
