大正8年初代陶哉、京都清水音羽山麓に於て創窯。現東哉は陶哉の作意作風を慕い伝統京焼を元に京の雅を失うことなく、東京の粋を取り入れ創作。1936年銀座に店舗も構え現にいたる。洗練された日本文化と美意識大切にしつつ現代に合った意匠創作を目指します。
Founded by the first generation Tousai in 1919 on the foot of Otowasan Kiyomizu in Kyoto. The current generation of Tousai seeks to maintain the conception and style of the original Tousai, creating Kyoyaki that incorporate the taste of Tokyo without sacrificing the elegance of Kyoto. Our store in Ginza has been in operation since 1936. We aim to create designs that suit modern sensibilities while at the same time value the sophistication of Japanese culture and aesthetics.
