Touan was established in 1921, in Sennyuji temple, Higashiyama, Kyoto. Each piece is lovingly crafted from the finest materials by expert craftsmen. Our work has garnered the highest reputation for quality and innovative artistry. While respecting the deep traditions of Kyoyaki, we strive to bring technical innovation to our pottery, producing highly distinctive pieces that stand apart from other Kyoyaki. Our ceramics use fine gold and silver in their decoration, and thus are not microwave safe. Please avoid placing our ceramics in a microwave oven.
